Wes did it!!! First time in a hot minute that I LOVED a Wes Anderson movie. Super funny, super dynamic, everything from the structure to the camera moves shows such masterful control in such an effortless way… It could only come from the OG. Also Michael Cera should be in all his movies going forward.

CRITERION CHALLENGE 2025 #31: Hailed by some as the greatest Québec movie ever made, I'd say it's up there as one of the most Québec movies ever made. It's not perfect (kinda wandering around doing nothing in particular for over half the runtime before it gets going) but damn if I don't feel SO patriotic hearing that trad music and seeing those winter landscapes. C'est ma culture, c'est mon pays ❤⚜ BONNE SAINT-JEAN!!!
