This is definitely my favorite horror movie and my first real introduction into Japanese horror. The last bit of the movie definitely dragged and just wasn't that scary, but the rest makes up for that. The movie has an atmosphere that makes you feel truly alone in the world and makes you dread whatever may come next, and it doesn't rely on gore or cheap jumpscares. This is also a pretty relevant movie now because of the themes about the impact of technology and how it can bring loneliness, something that is more true now than ever. The only thing I knew about this movie beforehand was the iconic scene of the ghost walking slowly, and yeah, that kinda ruined the moment, but I'm glad that was all I knew. I have no complaints for most of the movie, but the last 30 or so minutes really screwed up the pacing. I would've just shortened it or, at the very least, made it somewhat scary. Though, I did like the ending. Great movie overall
