Scarface
Ok so I had heard of Scarface. Never watched it though. I’ve never really been able to get into old-ish movies before. I always get thrown off by the music, the effects, the quality, the relevance whatever. However, it didn’t feel that way with Scarface.
From the get go, you know this guy is a villain. He’s lying to the government and is caught red handed. Yet, he still sizes up the room like he runs the country. That energy that Al Pacino brings throughout the film is just intoxicating.
I had seen gangster movies before but never got into them like I did with this movie. The way he handles situations, it’s like he has the upper hand even when he doesn’t. And to a young man like me, it’s very inspiring. When he just loses it out of anger and insecurity because he feels the need to prove to himself that he has the biggest balls.
This movie is just really effing good. I don’t write summaries for movies, ever. I didn’t even write one for fight club. But I felt especially drawn towards this movie. One of the best first watches I’ve ever got to experience.
