Watchmen
Overall this is a very good adaptation of the original comic. There are obviously some changes I don't like but Watchmen is a story that I believe was so specific to its original medium that translating it to film was always going to be a difficult endeavor. The overall aesthetic differs in some ways from the original comic, but I enjoyed Zack Snyder's spin on it. Some of the stylistic choices like the pointless needledrops are baffling but the faithfulness to the events of the comic (aside from the ending) is truly commendable. When it comes to adapting something as complex as Watchmen this is probably as good as it could've ever been. My single biggest problem with the film comes from giving THAT line at the end to Silk Spectre instead of Dr Manhattan. It completely removed the meaning and left a really sour taste in my mouth.
