The Dark Knight is one of those movies that somehow gets even better every time you watch it. I used to have it at a 4.5, but after this rewatch, there's no question anymore—this is a 5/5. Heath Ledger's Joker is every bit as incredible as people say. Every scene he's in feels unpredictable, and he completely takes over the movie without it ever feeling forced. It's one of the greatest performances I've ever seen, not just in a comic book movie. But honestly, Aaron Eckhart deserves just as much praise. His Harvey Dent is unbelievable. He makes you completely buy into Gotham's "White Knight," which is exactly why his fall into Two-Face hits so hard. The transformation feels tragic instead of forced, and Eckhart plays every stage of it perfectly. Christopher Nolan somehow made a superhero movie that feels like a crime thriller first. Every storyline connects, every character matters, and the pacing is so tight that the two-and-a-half-hour runtime flies by. On top of that, the moral dilemmas are what really elevate it. Batman, Joker, and Harvey all represent different ideas of justice, and watching those philosophies collide is what makes this movie timeless. An absolute masterpiece, and easily one of the greatest comic book movies ever made.
