A Bronx Tale
Wow wow wow ..I don’t know what to even think, a coming of age film focusing on nature vs nurture, racial ideals, and cultural influence disguised as a gangster film! I mean what more could I ask for!! .Seriously what a film, everyone knew their job and ran with it, De Niro wasn’t just a shell of the hard working Dad character. He took his moments and made them some of the best parts of this film. .C and Sonny were fantastic. Chazz Palminteri was spectacular in the Usual Suspects and was even better here. Palminteri takes the role of the crime boss very here and while doing bad things on the side still keeps that bright future alive for C. .C’s character realizing his friends aren’t good people while still participating in their hate crimes was a interesting to see. While he knows what their doing was horrible, C has now choice until “devine intervention” (Sonny) But even the devil was an angel and seeing those final 20 minutes hit like a fucking 18 wheeler. .Overall a great film and I’m so glad I got to see it.
