Baby Driver
Wow.How did I see this trailer for the movie in theaters and say eh you know what won't watch it. . Like what was I on, this movie is fucking sick and I wish I could experience it in a theater with professional speakers because the sound is everything with this. Who let Edgar Wright cook, having the music be planned so that the shots match it is genius. Often times movies struggle with song choice but this movie felt calculated, every little detail felt planned out. . Now the actors, I get it Kevin Spacey's crimes were horrible if true (unfortunately we can't know for sure even if he was found not guilty.) But separate the art from the art and he's just one of the best damn actors we have. His character was interesting we were given enough where I wanted more but not too much where he took too much spotlight. Ansel Elgort was perfect here as Baby and I couldn't find anyone who matched his energy. Unfortunately tho, Ansel also has some heavy allegations against him dating back so I just want to clarify I do not support him as an person but the character he embodies in this film.. Lastly, the action was great, and the gunshots and other noises lining up during shootouts and chase scenes were a satisfying one. The driving in this movie is insane and now I need an iPod and a Surubu WRX. The chase scenes just felt so out of a video game like GTA but also didn't feel incredibly fake. .
