Trust without fear How do you do that?  I bawled I think the way the movie is played out is a direct portrayal of how jojo sees the world, colorful patriotic and nazi which slowly descends to darker and more conflictual. Even though Germany losing the war was the “right” thing to happen it can still be interpreted as tragic because that’s how jojo looks at it. It’s too much feelings for such a young boy. Such a different spin to the usual “Germany ww2 movies” cinematography wise but I loved it.  And I bawled.
