Let It Shine
Disney Channels really introduced a whole generation of country kids (me) to the culture of rap, praise, and hip hop, and also paralleled it with themes of rigid religious trauma and praise liberation as well as discussing liberation through music and authenticity. This is probably my favorite DCOM of all time. Tyler James Williams is always a delight, and CoCo Jones eats. Also Chloe and Halle are extras which is fun. The soundtrack eats. The five stars are definitely all nostalgia-based but I LOVE THIS MOVIE
