***“Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.”*** Writer & Cinephile.

Probably one of Spielberg’s worst films which isn’t a terrible thing because this wasn’t ass. It just wasn’t good either. The best parts of the film are the technical aspects, the overall look, and the score.

I appreciate what Sokolov was going for here but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me. Wasn’t wowed by the story, the supporting cast, or the characters. Solid production design.

> ***“I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful... I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful... I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful...”*** Been a while since I’ve watched this. Never gets old. Along with *Star Wars* and *Jaws* my grandpa introduced me to this one.

Certainly better than I was expecting. Two call outs. Travis Knight‘s direction was strong and Leto was actually fantastic as Skeletor. He was perfectly comedic and menacing. Alison Brie was actually pretty fantastic too as the campy witch, Evil-Lyn. Weakest part for me was the runtime and I guess the overall pacing. I’m sure if I was a fan of the IP I’d feel differently but I would’ve trimmed a bit with some of the minor characters. I’d watch a sequel if it happened.
