I love my parents
This movie is one of a few I’ve seen that remarks on the topic of what being a parent in the child’s eye is. Callum loves with all his hearth Sophie and she knows it.
How Paul Mescal acts on the film and reflects every aspect of a father’s love to his daughter/son is magnificent. This movie isn’t about waiting for a final though, it’s about all the small moments one has with his parents, the vacation is an amazing memory Sophie will have and she understands it when she grows up.
How Callum stresses himself for being a dad at such a young age and the fact that he can’t give Sophie some things that he thinks are essential for her (like money or being able to pay luxurious things) is so painful for him, but that doesn’t demerites how lovely he is for Sophie, this movie destroyed me and sure will destroy everyone who sees it.
