Barbie

I enjoyed Barbie the first time I watched it, and need to watch it again. I loved the way colours were used and how she dressed in less saturated colours as she eased her way into life. I enjoyed the small details like how they were stuck in "heel mode" and the way she gracefully falls from her dream-house. I believe this movie demonstrated the message clearly and I liked how all the Kens became dicks because that’s all what life is about isn’t it? The way "I’m Just Ken" won its thing and proved the point too. Classic. Along with how the Barbies became what society used to, and still does, expect them to act. I do feel like this movie could’ve been more empowering a more years ago, but still brilliant. I only rate it 4 stars because I was expecting it to be more magical.
