Love Actually

Every yearly rewatch makes me notice more and more flaws in this film that would make most people slap 3 stars on it, write what they think is a funny witty review and call it a day. However I don’t really care that not all the subplots lead to a satisfactory conclusion or that certain aspects are shoehorned in, this film has been a part of of my Christmas for years and will continue to be forever. Despite it simply being a hilarious British Xmas rom-com, Love Actually requires a surprisingly large amount of suspension of disbelief… And I am more than willing to continue suspending my disbelief to look past the obvious conveniences this film uses to get by. Sorry Keir Starmer mate if we can’t get Zack Polanski in for 2029 I wouldn’t mind you swapping out for Hugh Grant.
