Obsession
One of the most claustrophobic horror movies that I have ever seen, acting was phenomenal especially Inde Navarrette the way she was able to switch at snap of a finger was so unnerving the best example of this was during the houseparty whilst reading the extract of her new book. The characters felt and acted like real people, there were nice undertones of comedy to relieve some tension yet Obsession never lost sight of what it was trying to achieve. It's always nice to hear some Current Joys used in a film and the usage of close ups, shadows and small light sources had me really focusing on every emotional display. It was so nice for a movie with such a simple plot to keep surprising me and the scariest part has to be when Bear was given the chance to speak to Nikki and all she could do was scream. Wish they had explored Nikkis struggle with 'her' and how whilst awake she was able to sometimes slip the control exerted on her by the wish a bit more however the film shows just enough and clocks in nicely at an hour fifty and trying to fit that in would have added bloat to an otherwise perfectly paced film. Ian also takes the cake for greatest ragebait of all time what a goofy bruh.
