Harakiri

This movie has a lot of hype built around it. It's the highest ranked movie on LETTERBOXD and I thought it would be a mistake or simply a niche opinion. After watching, I understand why it's ranked so highly. It's a timeless masterpiece that encompasses the glory and ugliness of revenge and samurai ways. For a simple samurai-movie, it changed my opinion on movies. It has a clear storyline, and makes you appreciate the little things of the movie. It also meticulously and methodically operates to make you feel the character.
