This meta-modern narrative explores the invasive nature of media and is exploitation of indigenous cultures and land and how ignorant perspectives result to belief in distorted images and in authentic portrayal of cultures and societies. Also interspersed between scenes, we see the socioeconomic troubles, which the Argentinian community face currently such as the Glyophates which are blindsided by the problems which plague the main group; this reminded me very much of Y Tu Mama Tambien. There’s a lot happening in this film that feels like a visual novella by the end of it. I loved the editing choices made which added an idiosyncrasy to the film and gave it that hyper-commodified feel which we see associated with foreign communities often. All the characters had enough an interesting conflict to them that made you intrigued in all their lives — I wished Edna got more screen-time though.I’m really in love with this post-post modern aesthetic and I hope it becomes a trend not only in Literature but in film moving onwards.
