Michael
A luminous film about one of the purest angels. I truly think Jaafar Jackson did an incredible job — he was absolutely phenomenal. But the film feels more beautiful because of the person it praises than because of the film itself.
Jaafar deserves every compliment imaginable. And Michael Jackson, even after all these years since his death, still manages to make me believe in kindness and brings me to tears whenever I listen to his speeches.
At the same time, the fact that many of Michael’s relatives refused to appear in the film says a lot. Maybe the best way to view this movie is as Jaafar’s tribute to his extraordinary uncle — a chance for him to honor Michael’s memory, showcase his own remarkable talent, and allow the world to feel nostalgic once again while remembering the lessons and humanity Michael Jackson tried to share.
