Intrinsically flawed in the themes and ideas it presents about gender dynamics and sex but also maybe the funniest film of the year

If you only liked *I Saw the TV Glow* you’ll probably hate this, if you liked *We’re All Going to the World’s Fair* then this probably will be more up your alley. The first half is less a documentary and more of a clipshow of what the YouTube scene was like at the start of the Slenderman craze, complete with a full minute of the infamous Jeff the Killer vs. Slenderman rap battle. The second half is a look into the same scene in the aftermath of the Payton Leutner stabbing with videos of some truly horrendous viewpoints of people around that time that almost make you lose faith in humanity. Brilliant.

Screened on 70mm at the Somerville Theatre, one of the best crowds I’ve ever seen a movie with. Maybe a little too much laughter at the rape scene but everything else was great.
