Babylon

wow. i have lots of words for that overstimulating masterpiece. i don't know if its because i have been aiming to pay more attention to movie scores but the most recent films i have seen (especially this one) are fucking fantastic and add so much depth to the film. i just love the way damien chazelle can make me want to cry while also leaning forward in my chair wondering wtf is going on. but the one thing i needed to say about this movie is the reccouring theme that i kept noticing especially in the third act. which is that everything comes to an end and i feel this message was felt so much during elinor's monologue. besides everything else this movie was quite a journey with beautiful cinematography, acting, score, and screenplay.
