Her
This was devastating. A truly unique and thought provoking romance which remained grounded while exploring incredibly complex ideas on love, loneliness and happiness. The philosophy of love, although complex, was explored beautifully and really resinated as it questions what it means to be loved, the fear of love and brought up an interesting idea of if someone can be in love with the idea of something or the thing itself. I think the tragedy here is that he was in love with the idea of something to mask the loneliness he felt. He had to find something to latch himself onto to stop that loneliness overtaking him.
This film was beautifully shot, with impressive uses of colour and composition, as well as incredible performances all round.
