Waves
A gritty, heartfelt and shocking movie which didn't shy away from underrepresented topics in society. Shults' beautiful direction was a driving force in this film, from the colour matching to the sound design it was simply stunning. Especially the way he played with aspect ratio to really separate and exaggerate the intimate and claustrophobic scenes.
My problems lie mainly with the plot. It almost felt like two separate films, separated by a cirtain event which didn't quite work for me.
