Dexter
I still have qualms about the basic story of Beauty and the Beast that I'll probably just never get over enough to fully love any iteration of it, but this is a particularly good adaptation nevertheless and understands better than most that the narrative is inherently creepy and gross.
The choice to make the beast a birdman is great, and the character design of his servant lurking in the fireplace and chandelier is fantastically creepy and grimy. The whole film feels covered in dust, really, save for the dreamy sequence of Julie imagining her handsome beau carrying her across the threshold.
