Dune
Probably not the first nor the last to say this, but this movie just gets better the more you watch it especially after watching the part 2. Its like layers of hidden meanings you keep finding the more you watch it, the subtleties are so well done. Denis sets the world of dune perfectly in this movie while also being a great stand alone film. But for me the most incredible thing is the world building and the great shots. My personal favorite scenes are the gom jabbar one and when house Atreides arrives on Arrakis, the huge ships, the vast legions, the beautiful bagpipes playing and the stunning back drop its so amazing. Man Denis is such a legend, and so is frank herbert for creating such an amazing world, from the little I know about dune I am so captivated by it. I am definitely going to read the books soon.
I love how the movie trusts its users to use their flipping brains to take their time to understand it properly, the idiots that say its boring have no concept of understanding a proper well structured and layered story with complex ideas and characters. They just want their goyslop spoon fed to them. "Haha guys check this new Wuthering Heights movie, jacob elordi margot robbie so sexy woowww" "sydney sweeney so hot" or they want the main lead to make cheesy one liners all the time like its a marvel movie and explain different concepts to them like they're watch dora the explorer or cocomelon.
