started fairly strong but then so much of the second half (and most of the third act) just did not work for me… It sets up an interesting sci-fi mission, and the cast have great chemistry and early on the philosophical questions are handled with some subtlety. But then as the film goes on it starts to over-intellectualise these points without it really feeling earned. That in itself wouldn’t be so egregious if not for the third act turn which is pretty close to farcical.
