Get Out
A really incredible display of talent from Jordan Peele for his first, and so far, what I believe to be, his best movie. It is airtight in it's script, with every line adding to the horror, especially on rewatch. The camera work is fairly simple, but works so well throughout, especially during the last act. The acting is amazing across the board, though Daniel Kaluuya is the real standout to me of course. His emotional range throughout, especially during the scenes at the party is amazing. Really scary, but also of course a really solid drama and littered with really effective political commentary and allusions. I don't entirely know why Jordan Peele went from this to Us, but I hope he returns to this, since it is one of the best pieces of contemporary horror.
