Very engaging movie from start to finish. I enjoyed the story structure a lot; I think it kept the whole stuck in space plot from becoming too stale like they often do. It was heartfelt and satisfying, but it didn’t feel particularly different than any of the other movies in this specific genre. The cinematic experience in Dolby was spectacular but only for those few extravagant scenes. I thought Ryan Gosling and Sandra Hüller were both absolutely perfect for their roles. And of course, the beating heart of the movie being Rocky was my favorite message throughout. Definitely made me want to read the book.

The animation in this was really beautiful, made me realize I haven’t seen a new Pixar movie in a long while. Cute movie, pretty funny, but the narrative was a bit all over the place for a kids movie.
