Trainspotting

I loved the way the story was told, the creativity and strangeness of some of the film's scenes, the characters and dialogue, the character's initially questionable way of thinking, making decisions, and living, the fact that he returned, time and again, to the heroine's path, that perpetual state of being at rock bottom and close to death. I loved how miserable the protagonist was throughout the film and then, at the end, a happy rebirth. Also, there were some great twists and turns and a truly fantastic story.
