Star Wars
This movie is just so awesone and so iconic, and I believe it is that way not just because of George Lucas's vision but mostly due to all the other amazing people who worked on this film alongside him.
The people behind the visual and sound design alongside John William's score just create the best atmosphere and world. Marcia Lucas and her editing team were able to better piece together the scenes and set a great pace. The cast not only gave great performances, but they improvised some hits and gave feedback on George's dialogue.
Those last two points I feel especially strong about because that editing team and the feedback on dialogue seemed really lacking in the prequel trilogy. The pacing and writing for those movies is what really hinders their quality in my opinion (not to say I don't still enjoy them too). I've seen deleted scenes, scrapped lines, and alternate cuts of this film, and I just find it interesting how it resembles them. Regardless of this little aside, what's important is how great those characteristics are in this film and how that kind of difference just makes them feel all the more important.
That alongside every other part of what made this movie come to life just worked so well, and I absolutely love it.
So like, yeah you could say I like star wars...
