Dune: Part Two
I cannot stop thinking about this movie, as soon as the credits rolled a wave of sorrow came across me, I just wanted to see more!. Dune: Part Two is such an exciting watch, every scene had me so intrigued and I sit wondering what could possibly happen next.
Dune's world is so deep, the amount of in depth story telling needs to be studied. The world building continues to amaze me it is simply flawless and this is supported by the staggering anatomy of lore and philosophy created.
Watching this in IMAX enhanced every thing. A sensory overload backed up by one of the most immersive cinematic experiences ever created. A star studded cast bringing you through 3 phenomenal acts. The first pulling us back in the world, the second conflicting our minds and the third purely takes us to a whole new level of perplexity. Oscar worthy performance from nearly all. Austin Butler is a thrilling psychopath, the man really is a method actor.
The Cinematography done graciously and yet daunting. Dune will go down as one of the greatest Sci-Fi's of all time. This isn't just your typical Sci-Fi it is much more than that. Denis creates and atmosphere that triumphs many generic Sci-Fi's.
Our parents had the original Star Wars trilogy, now we shall experience maybe a fraction of the pleasure that it brought to them. The greatest sequel of all time in my opinion is The Empire Strikes Back, could Dune: Part Two be my generations Empire Strikes Back.
Dune Part Two is a monumental, ambitious, herculean, eccentric, compelling piece of cinematic art. Shout's out the whole team and Denis Villeneuve once again 5/5.
