Oppenheimer
A ridiculous and extraordinary achievement in filmmaking. I am genuinely blown away (pun intended) by how good this movie was. From the beautiful cinematography to the elegance of the score this film just does not stop, it nails every bit of film technique you can think of. Truly the most magnificent cinematic experience I have seen.
The countdown was thrilling and downright spine-chilling a moment where everything felt meaningless and seemed as though time itself had stopped and I was bare witness to the most significant moment in the history of the world.
Nolan is a genius, a master of the craft, and a true pioneer in this new age of filmmaking. Christopher Nolan is without a doubt my favorite director of all time and needn't I say more Nolan is the best and most important filmmaker of our time and Oppenheimer without a shadow of a doubt emphasizes that.
Parts of the movie had me holding my breath, my heart racing, the visual editing and sound design chilling and transfixing. The whole cast had miraculous performances, Oscar-worthy performances from Robert Downey Jr in a supporting role and Cillian Murphy in his first lead, MY MAN! I did not go to see this in the cinema and what a mistake that was I can only imagine what it was like not only to have seen it on the big screen but to see it in real life, just think all those people that were out there in Los Alamos what was their reaction, how did they feel, such a disturbing thought.
A perfect conclusion that left me speechless, Oppenheimer is not a film it’s an experience. Christopher Nolan simply does not MISS! 5/5.
