Waves

this movie sent me into a spiral, how pure, genuine and raw all the emotions like love, hate, grief (etc) are expressed. how the characters have the most humane personalities, relationships and trauma. especially the parents relationship after the child they both raised ,loved and cared for, hurt and killed someone,(someone that he loved.) the grief of loosing and learning to live without him in their lives.  hes not a monster. hes not evil. hes just a human being. all of the emotions in the movie were a display of humans with traumareactions to another traumatic experience which made it more realistic.waves is a gorgeous but heartbreaking movie that forced me to feel everything and reflect on myself at every point of the story. every single deep emotion, performance, acting, the atmosphere plus the great music and the vibes just overshadows the few problems it has. it covers the teenage atmosphere perfectly and just makes the whole movie surreal, deep and painful.
