objectively the best written, most impressive and people pleasing. broke the curse (don’t….) of pirate movies and theme park ride movies. genuinely so good and ruined my life until this day. not much else to say, it pioneered an incredible trilogy

the perfect end to the trilogy. this is the last pirates movie there are not more. the score is so good. the scale going from the first to this one rocks so hard and seeing it in theaters is a memory burned into my mind forever. i have ink on my body for this movie. the final battle is more effective than sex for me in terms of serotonin. it could’ve been so messy but it wraps up so much from all three movies with so many “full circle” and parallel moments which is especially beautiful as a nod to how incredibly well the first movie mirrored the beginning and end beats. this movie gets too much hate. it’s good and fuck u

a good ass time. incredible 2nd movie of trilogy bc it’s bigger than 1 but not as big as its setting up 3 to be obviously. especially impressive balance because they filmed 2 and 3 simultaneously and even though the stories are so connected, it doesn’t bleed and muddy either one. i’ve seen this one the most times because i got the dvd for christmas before the 3rd one came out the following may and watched it any chance i had. i could recite this movie and do some of the fight choreo.

this is where i become controversial and Hot Take ified. this one is better than the 4th one. sorry! at least it acknowledges will and elizabeth as characters. it’s messy and stupid and i hate it but it’s better than the jack sparrow spin off that is the 4th movie. i’ve only seen it once so that’s all i can really say but it didn’t make me as mad as the 4th.
