The Lighthouse

This movie is a mindfuck. I've been trying to understand what it means for a lot of time and I think that is insane. Everyone seems to have different theories and ideas, I haven't found one that I interprete myself and that is one thing that fascinates me. I am thinking a lot about this movie. It isn't just a dumb movie without meaning clearly because way too much makes sense and loads of parallels are shown throughout the film that lead to a certain theme, but in the end, I'm still not sure what it is trying to say clearly. Not only is that fascinating, but also the experience of watching the movie is insane. The tension is incredible and I think seeing how the two men went on acting was scary. This is what makes it a perfect movie to me. Not just great cinematography, but also very good at staying in the viewers mind. There is clearly a message or multiple ones hidden within the movie, but the intrigue of this movie partially comes from finding it/them.
