Intro by Micheal Mann and Al Pacino. It was great seeing two legends for one of my favorite films. What a run for TCM this year. A total of 8 movies, and I only spent $80 on tickets. Unfortunately no chatting about Val Kilmer, he might be the Goat of the movie chock full of Goats. Even the side characters are played by All timers. Danny Trejo as Trejo, come on that’s badass. So fun seeing this in a packed theater on a big imax screen, an epic event and a great way to close out TCM fest this year. This is my third year going and first one diving head first into the deep end, and it took a lot out of me seeing one movie after another all day, but goddamn it was fun. I checked a lot of movies off the list and discovered a few new ones as well. If TCM fest is about three things it’s seeing your favorite movies with the people who made them, giving a chance to an old classic that is no where else, and meeting a few friends along the way. This year I excelled at all three and am very excited for next go around. Shout out to Kyle who was by my side for every standby line.
