Hamnet
“I give you my life, Judith.”
“Hamnet” is that type of movie that approaches grief and death in a sorrowful, meaningful way. It uses memories and emotions as a tool to show the ache of losing a loved one. Both Will and Agnes went through the same grief throughout the movie, showing how painful and wicked death can truly be. In the end, Hamnet kept his promise. He was brave. And more than that, he took care of his sisters and mother like he promised he would. He didn’t give up. He tricked death. Not because he wanted to be gone, but because he couldn’t bear the thought of seeing his loved ones in suffering at the loss of Judith. So he took her place. And, like he said he would, he was brave.
