this movie works well even if it is set in an admittedly less exciting setting in the wild west compared to the future or alternate realities, because it gives itself the opportunity to focus more on developing the characters of marty and doc through a more grounded approach. marty who has to overcome his weakness of giving in to pressure, and doc who has to has to start thinking with his heart more than his head. we had our story of family in the first movie, our sci-fi adventure in the second movie, and the third film puts a neat bow to top it all off with a story of individual character… but that point falls flat with the ending where doc had to go and make a time train which ruins the message it was going for LOL. if we could’ve left doc in the past and had sort of an epilogue close out the trilogy that would’ve been great, but i digress; this movie is still so fun

this movie lowkey pisses me off with how stupid some of the characters can be and how it isn’t as logically sound as the first movie (though logic may as well be thrown out the window with this kind of movie) like marty’s hamartia of being called ‘chicken’ didn’t really work well for me, but it’s all in good fun so it’s still enjoyable

great scott! can’t believe i missed out on this as a kid.

kosinski has done it again. you get what you’re looking for with this movie: a summer blockbuster that’s a hell of a time. the sound design is incredible, the races thrilling, the camerawork inventive, and it really just feels like a classic feel-good movie. i only wish they could’ve toned down with the pop song montage moments, but it is what it is, can’t really blame the movie for wanting to appeal to a broader audience. i also know just the tiniest bit of f1 like the drivers and such, but the movie made me quite interested in the technical aspects of it as well. if this was just a big F1 advertisement, it did it’s job and it did it well. watched in ayala malls feliz cinema
