Dìdi (弟弟)

Didi does this cool thing of putting you in a time machine and taking you back to the early 00’s. You’re instantly a part of Chris’s world and the cringey moments that engulf you back to that feeling of being an insecure kid stepping into the next chapter. Chen gives an award-winning performance playing Chris’s mom and bringing depth to a character usually in coming-of-age films, isn’t there. Didi blew me away in striking that balance of being relatable to all but still feeling very specific & personal.
