Project Hail Mary
As expected they changed many things from the book over to the movie, however it was still executed well. The visuals are my favorite part and gosling does a good job at bringing Ryland to life.
Edit;
After some time off this film I’ve decided to change the ratings and update my review. I believe that this movie doesn’t actually care for the source material whatsoever and made it solely to impress surface level watchers with pretty visuals and comedic value from everyone’s favorite guy! Ryan gosling!! I think this is a fine movie, I don’t dislike it — as a matter of fact, I will consistently reiterate that it is a visual beauty. However, the constant plot devices that were ignored from the book over to this were night and day for me. I literally fell asleep watching this the first time I put it on because I was lacked a good impression. I felt as though they entirely stripped the nuance from grace and over-glorified the relationship between rocky and him so they can make more money. Entirely missing the purpose of the book. Either way, good movie. Entirely, and definitely, overrated.
