The Batman

Honestly liked it more than I expected to. Pattinsons Batman is convincing. He has this raw side to him while also still being Batman. His Bruce Wayne isn’t my favorite and don’t find him to be charismatic whatsoever. The world building within this was exceptional, I felt like the conflict between the underground crime scene, the corrupted police and good police felt strung up and held a lot of weight. The riddler was also convincing, actually, very convincing. They even made him a dork for the added realism. Soundtrack is good, I don’t love the something in the wayyyyy song but it works for this Batman I suppose. Batman’s synergy with catwoman is great. I also liked the side characters in the penguin, falcone, etc. The cat and mouse mystery chase was fun to watch all movie. I believe Batman’s flaws definitely help here. His mistakes are all great setups for future predicaments. all in all, very good. I will be watching Nolan’s Batman trilogy soon to see relative rankings to this movie. • Story / Plot: 8 • World Building / Setting: 8.5 • Characters: 7.5 • Writing / Structure: 7.7 • Performances: 8 • Craft / Presentation: 8 • Concept / Originality: 6 • Pacing: 7 • Ending / Resolution: 7 • Personal Enjoyment: 7.5 Average Rating: 7.52  Final Rating: 7.50
