The Room

Before watching this I had only seen funny scenes and The Disaster Artist movie - I figured I’d watch the full movie to see how bad it really is What I found is the obvious fact that this is very very bad, the film fails in narrative, performance, directing, sound editing, sound mixing, costume, production design - it fails in every aspect yet it was made on a considerably large budget for a project of its nature ($6 Million) The most predominantly hilarious aspect of this film is its poor quality - there are scenes that are so badly acted and directed that the only possible reaction is laughter, but the amazing thing is that it was never intended to be that way Some of my favourite quotes include: - “you’re tearing me apart Lisa!” - “you’re a chicken! cheap-cheap-cheap-cheap!” - “everybody betrayed me! I’m fed up with this world” - “in a few minutes, bitch.” - “Leave your stupid comments in your pocket!” - “I did not hit her its bullshit I did not hit her I did NAAAAT - oh hi mark There are scenes that take place in the movie that I imagine were incredibly dramatic inside of Tommy Wiseau’s head which makes them all the more hilarious I was not prepared for the meltdown scene at the end and I could not be more thankful that it was included I thought about rating it 5/5 as a joke - but it kind of makes sense to do so when you realise that this is quite possibly the best example of a terrible movie, it does everything bad - that’s what’s so brilliant about it!
