Sinners

We are all one race. And that race is vampires. Incredible. Movie of the year so far. Coogler is a visionary and we are blessed to live in the same timeline as him. Every couple years just give Coogler $100 million to do whatever he wants and we will never be disappointed. Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are the next Scorsese/DiCaprio. Michael B. Jordan is a motherfuckin G. Absolutely everyone is firing on all cylinders but my boy Delroy Lindo steals the show. I have loved Delroy Lindo since Gone in 60 Seconds and if there is justice in this world he will get his long deserved Oscar for this. The only thing I wanted that I didn’t get is for a certain blues legend to kill some vampires at the end just so we can all say Blues Legend got to kill vampires like how we all got to hear Garry Shandling say “Hail Hydra”, but that’s the minorist of quibbles. Racism is a plague that spreads unless stamped out. It is a lesson we have failed to learn for centuries and has shamefully never been more relevant. By rendering it in literal form as vampires it highlights how absurd but also how attractive and easy it is to unite in hate.  Love is hard. The South sucks but the blues rules.
