Obsession
It was surely worth the hype and excitement and for that, it is solely responsible for Inde Navarrete, who gives a generational performance and in my eyes has already received an Oscar nomination. Curry Barker manages not to impose fear but to transmit it through embarrassment and especially the amazing combination of shadows and lighting and the abundance of sudden and strange movements do exactly what he wants. The film highlights the complexity of emotional relationships in today's era and focuses on the tendency towards the easy solution. Instead of directly exposing his feelings to Nikki, Bear chooses to rely on a magic one-wish willow and thus the fear of young people today is projected both in the possible rejection and in the direct exposure of their feelings. In summary, Inde's talent seems amazing and extremely promising since this is the reason why the film is considered as one of the best of the decade for its genre.
