Possession
everytime i rewatch this film im surprised of how well structured it is. Possibly Zulawski’s greatest work, I believe Possession is not a Sci-Fi, but a true love story, exploring the meaning of control, and how much can you care for something unknown. At the end of the day, it is a radicalized work of the male perspective regarding the secrets of women, and how little we can really understand and accept, with that being our main goal, when in reality, the truth about love is never about knowing, it’s about caring, caring beyond the rational, beyond right and wrong. The moment we stop to try to understand everything and hold accountable is the moment where romance starts.
