Frankenstein

First things first, certified hell yeah movie right from the moment that blunderbuss came out. Cocking all 4 hammers and then rotating the barrel after every shot, hell yeah. I really liked the hardcore punctuations of violence / gore.  I had the same thought about Nope, both films used them to great effect without hitting the note too frequently. Casting, wardrobes, and sets all fantastic.  It’s exactly what you want to see for a GDT gothic fairy tale kind of aesthetic. I have never read the source material, so I can’t judge on what was done well or poorly. There was all around a total lack of subtlety in both plot and to some extent the overacting. But it worked for me especially as a hell yeah movie.
