Nope

Hooptober 2025 29/31 This film ate. Fitting to have Jaws on one side of my Hooptober and Space Jaws on the other. My sense of horror is pretty warped at this point having burned 29 movies into my eyelids in quick succession, but this is a clear winner for me. The few gnarly scenes used to punctuate the story hit really well, especially the fist bump and the star lasso, woof. I don’t have any kind of deep analysis here. I thought it was beautiful in sound & vision. It was funny without being distracting. It made me lean in and recoil. It was the full experience. Hell yeah Unrelated to this one, but it’s probably time to rewatch Sinners now that it’s been a while. That one was a beautifully made film but my expectations soured the experience. I think it’s similar to this one except I had no expectations here.
