Weapons

There is a lot going on in this film that is so effective. Pretty much every tense moment is elevated by some choice in how it's filmed and the excellent sound design. Then there's a lot of jokes that hit really well, especially with the crowd. The non-linear puzzle pieces created a lot of fun moments as things fit together. Payoff at the end is chef's kiss. I would recommend this film every day of the week, but I think it lands just shy of 5 stars. There's a clear emotional core to this that gets lost in the mix. The things that made Justine and Archer compelling characters were far out of mind by the time we circle back to them.
