Why is this movie unironically so funny? Like seriously for being an angry birds sequel this actually has some really clever humor in it that made me burst out laughing. The overall story is still incredibly run of the mill kids movie but I do prefer this a LOT more than the first one which I think is absolutely unfunny. But this actually does give us some nice moments with these characters and is really funny, Not one I’d watch a whole lot, but much better than I expected

This is my all time favorite Pixar movie. The first 45 minutes of this movie are absolutely perfect silent storytelling. Building up the relationship between WALL·E and Eve with some of the most gorgeous animation Pixar has ever created. But it continues to stay very strong even after those first 45 minutes. The space stuff is also so much fun with the baby-like human passengers of the axiom, the mutiny plot of auto and the captains overall wonder with earth makes for a really captivating plot. Of course this movie has some of the most gorgeous animation that still hasn’t been beat. The desolate polluted earth, the starry space sky, and the dance between walle and Eve just are absolutely beautiful and makes this the best Pixar movie to watch in my mind

Well there’s two hours of my life I’m never getting back… This movie actually had a REALLY interesting hook. The idea of a man having to prove his innocence to an AI judge is actually very interesting (but would have been better released five years ago) and it’s a very visually odd movie. This was designed to be released in 3D and it shows. The whole gimmick of the film is that everything you see is through the perspective of the screen meaning you see things like emails and evidence floating around and it creates a very cluttered mess as the movie goes on. It starts out interesting enough figuring out who killed Chris’s wife, but then it starts to drag after a while and loses interest pretty quick. Then you have the third Stacy which is a big action climax that comes out of nowhere and is just not well directed at all. There were still some decent enough moments in the movie to warrant the 1 1/2 star rating, but not enough to give it any higher than that.

“MY BLUE BLANKET!” Mel brooks comedy can be a bit hit or miss for me. But this is now one of my favorites I’ve watched of his. I’ve seen the musical and 2005 version before but never watched the original movie and it’s a riot. Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder are just a great comedic duo (I also love them in the rhinoceros) and they play off each other so well and embody their performances to really fit these characters. And while the plot is a bit predictable it is a hilarious turn of events in the end. I could not stop laughing at some points specifically in the third act and it’s just a fun riot.
