Warfare

As someone who enjoys war films and thought this would be your typical war movie, Warfare definitely stands out as more of a documentary style film instead of those like 1917, Hacksaw Ridge, and Midway. Warfare is a film you have to sit down and stay watching due to its run time. The film is based on true events and it is able to capture the raw nature of war and how a group of young soldiers do as much as they can, in order to keep their men safe while achieving their objective. Overall this film is one of A24’s best, with great acting, much tension, and good pacing. My only issue with this film is that I wish it was longer. But this film has a very specific start and finish which makes it difficult to stretch out to anything over 2 hours. I truly recommend it to anyone interested in joining the army and it is a must watch to any history/war lover.
