*“They say even the proudest spirit can be broken... with love.” * What a triumph this is. A world easily lost in, so dark, so strange, and deeply emotional. All we want is to be heard and a place to belong. Unbelievable animation – whoever made the call to do the paint peeling back in stop-motion is a true masochist and I’d like to thank them personally for their service. How a movie about child neglect is this family friendly is beyond me, truly remarkable.
