Superman
“they can be a great people, Kal El, they wish to be. they only lack the light to show the way. for this reason above all- their capacity for good- i have sent them you”this is exactly who i want my superman to be. a symbol for hope and the indomitable human spirit. Christopher Reeves performance was phenomenal as BOTH clark kent AND superman. he stepped into each role like he was made for it. and the chemistry between lois and superman? first time a superhero had me giggling and kicking my feet.
not to mention the hilarious dialogue and stellar score. John Williams my goat, you never miss.
it’s campy, it’s kitsch, it’s a goddamn banger.
